Snow in Hobart
Posted under Races and Results byI’ve been home (and back at work) for a couple of weeks now. I coped pretty well with the jet lag but Marty has only just stopped falling asleep after dinner and waking me up at 5am.
I’m taking a bit of time now to ‘let the dust settle’ and increase my base fitness. I’ve never been a big mileage athlete compared to some distance runners, but I need to run more each week. The couple of times I was sick or injured this year hit me hard because I didn’t have much of a fitness buffer to carry me through.
I’ve been training for fun this week. That actually included swimming, running for an hour at the beach, doing some core strength work in the gym as well as a Spin class (that hurt!) Most exercise has been indoors on purpose…it snowed at my house on Monday.
